There is an energy that is unmatched whenever a DJ steps up to a board and starts spinning, and I was lucky enough to witness somebody embody that energy and elevate not only their performance but the crowd. It was in the Spring of 2025 when I had first heard of Dazegxd as he was set to open for Jane Removers’ Turn Up or Die tour and I was enamored immediately after diving in to his discography. If you were to go to your preferred streaming service to search up Dazegxd, you will find a very extensive discography with a plethora of collaborations and mixes. Dazegxd does not shy away from experimentation but I would say his strong suit is Drum & Bass and you can definitely recognize that during his live DJ performances. There is a hint of everything to dance to during his sets and he truly knows how to keep the crowd turnt up. My friends and I were lucky enough to catch a set from him at Club Contact in collaboration with Viva Phx on April 18th and we were completely enamored with selection, his playstyle, and his unmatched energy. The whole crowd felt like a united being controlled by the heartbeat of his set. I can tell Daze loves what he does and has so much passion, I can’t wait to see where he goes and to see him further grow as an artist.

The Openers

The openers for this show did not disappoint at all. We arrived just in time to hear nudo. They were a show-stopping act and turned a bar into an atmosphere of their own. If you like sultry, dream-like, experimental music then nudo will definitely pique your interest. Robertitx also gave the crowd a performance we won’t soon forget. She debuted a new song that night titled “Bombon” and it was a hit!

Dazegxd

I’ve been a fan of Dazegxd since may of 2025 when I got the chance to see him open for Jane Remover at the crescent ballroom. It was the first time I had ever seen a DJ open for a singer and it was a concept that I had never even conceptualized until it was happening in front of me. When we heard he was not only coming to phoenix but playing at my local club I knew I had to be there taking pictures!

Daze’s set was incredible as expected. My friends and I danced all night and from the way it looked, so did everybody else! It was such a fun night. After the show, a few people (us included) actually got the chance to meet Dazegxd and chat for a bit. He was so kind, stopped for any fan, and was incredibly down to earth. We were even informed by him while chatting that it had just become his birthday! It was such a lovely interaction; Happy late birthday and Daze if you read this, come play another show in PHX!!!

My friends Dèesse and Aaron wanted to go out to see Dazegxd at Viva Phoenix, and were super excited about it because they’d seen one of his sets when he opened for Jane Remover. Also, Dèesse DMed him and he responded, which was super awesome. We saw a couple of other artists as well! Robertitx sang her new single “Bombon”, and I really enjoyed it!! Dazegxd’s set was really good! He had a great mix of music and different genres. We were up and dancing a majority of the time. It was a lot of fun, he came up to us after his set, and he was super cool and chill! The crazy part was that he was performing at Coachella the next day, and I think it was really cool he just popped up at this random event in Phoenix. Overall, it was a fun night and I hope to see another one of his sets again!!
