Ashley, Déesse, and I got the incredible opportunity to take photos of Miniskirt during their set at Club Contact. Déesse and I met them at a housewarming party and we had been a fan of them and their sets for quite some time. We have included many of the photos that we took that night and I can definitively say that this was the night where everything went right. The atmosphere was good, the music even better. The crowd had a lot of energy and made for a night I have not since forgotten.

THE SET ⋆౨ৎ˚⟡
The first time I heard one of Miniskirt’s sets I was waiting in the long line at Gracie’s on First Friday. Me and my best friend Dèesse were standing outside waiting to get in. Lucky for us, we could hear the music playing on the other side of the wall. I don’t remember what songs exactly but I remember being like ‘oh my god we LOVE this song’ and jamming out while standing waiting. Of course, by the time we got inside, the DJ’s switched out. Ever since then, I feel like we’d go out to try and see Miniskirt. Always sending flyers in the group chat excited that they were performing somewhere. Now, the ONE night I don’t go out to party, my friends apparently met the very DJ’s I wouldn’t shut up about. And they were performing again the next night and we actually went and took pictures of them. And I got to meet Bailey and Zoey myself. It was magical and their set was amazing (as usual)!

THE PEOPLE
As always I’m interested in what people were wearing that night. Every time I go out there are so many people with so many different types of styles that suit them perfectly. It’s become a sort of passion for me to document who wore what and who wore it best on a night out; and what’s a better night to show off than miniskirt night! Everyone had their best outfits on and was dancing all night. I found myself not just taking pictures of their outfits but taking inspiration too! Here’s a look at some of my favorites from that night!
